If you only use email, then yes. But if you do use the phone, either
direct or IP-based, or if you use IRC or other form of chat, then it
definitely does matter. Also if you use email transactionally -- if
you expect someone to do something for you, it pays to know whether
they are likely to respond today or tomorrow.
