"Writing Transformational Grammars" Book

Anybody familiar with the book "Writing Transformational Grammars: an
Introduction." by Andreas Koutsoudas? I picked it up at the library the
other day and have started looking at it. Apparently there are a bunch of
excercises where they give you a list of sentences in some foreign
language, along with translations. Your task is to discover the component
morphemes and develop a Transformational Grammar based on those sentences
(and some statements about what is not grammatical). Sounds sort of like
conlanging in reverse!
If anyone's interested I could post one or two of the excersises.
