Okay, fair enough. I just encountered them separately and only later
learned that they were even the same plant. They really taste nothing
alike. :)

Yes indeed! I'm a big fan of green salsa, myself. (I'm not terribly
fond of anything tomato-based.) Although the other colors of salsa
do also often have cilantro, so I'm not sure why I felt the need to
be specific. :)
