Houston here has one of the larger geneological libraries in the
US (nowhere near as big as the one in Salt Lake City, though).
I was once doing research there, and found, inter alia, there
are whole books devoted to cataloguing people descendent from
Charlemagne, and others for just about any major monarch of the
last thousand years or so you care to imagine. (Charlemagne seems
to be particularly popular for some reason).
