That shouldn't confuse them so much... Hebrew does the same thing, after
all :-) . And i'm pretty sure that Israelis don't pronounce the
word-final {h}'s even when they're marked to be pronounced /h/ and not
silent like most word final {h}'s in Hebrew.

What about all those word final /h/'s that don't get pronounced? That
doesn't make any sense at all.
