Not exactly, but a few years ago on the AUXLANG list,
Thomas Alexander and I talked about the possibility of
creating an auxlang similar enough to Esperanto
that you could do automated translation from E-o
into it (thus rapidly building a large corpus), but different
enough to be interesting and attractive to the sort of
people who don't like E-o.  I think stevo has done
something similar since then.
