Incidentally, was Tolkien rhotic or non-rhotic? Seledor (or however it's spelt)
seems to suggest non (cf. 'cellar door'), but I can't be certain.
Just as well Tolkien's dead, isn't it, what with the abominations that'll be
happening in the movies...
