I've been wanting to do this for some time, but had problems with sound. Now
that's sorted out, I can play sound files. However, when I try to record
sounds, no articulate reply emerges. There's something there (looks a bit
like a sound spectrogram) but what comes out of the speakers sounds nothing
like what was spoken. There's loudness in the right places, but no actual
connected speech. As I know zilch about sounds as regards PCs, I was
wondering if this is a common problem, and if so, how do I put it right?
