Kash: kotani mangos: "minda yumindaka! poleni camuko!" ende maminda mayuminda i yucamuko yuno. kota-ni mangos word-of it voice minda yu-minda-ka smile inch-happy/smile-IMPER (plain _minda_ also means 'be happy'-- the inchoative is needed, 'become happy') pole-ni la-muko able-of it COMP-bad (Muko is one of a handful of adjs. that forms COMP with pfx. la- vs. lavi) ende ma-minda and-so 1sg-smile ma-yu-minda lsg-INCH-smile/happy i yu-la-muko yuno and INCH-COMP-bad all A voice said: "smile, get happy, it could be worse" and so I smiled and got happy and everything got worse.
