My bet is that Abrigon posted it as a linguistic curiostiy, and was not
aware of true nature of the content.

In that sense it was not that off-topic by Conlang standards. I recall
Eddie (college teacher of French & German, jovial, jester, one eye, not on
the list any more) posting some wonderful renditions of some verse or other
into IIRC some redneck-type dialect.

Yes & no. It's nice to see so many people expressing decent sentiments.
After all, after all these years we are not just a group of people
gathered to talk about conlangs; we're a group of chums gathered to
talk about conlangs.
