Interestingly the Latin supine accustive corresponds to the classical Sanskrit infinitive in -tum. Vedic had a number of "infinitive" formations -- more or less fully declined verbal nouns, but all of those except the -tum form fell off in classical Sanskrit. -- /BP 8^)> -- Benct Philip Jonsson -- melroch at melroch dot se "Maybe" is a strange word.
