Hi, I'm back! And I agree wholeheartedly with this - conlanging for a
conlanger is as natural as breathing.
I started a novella - or at least that's the intention - and thought I would
keep it free from conlangs. Well, I was wrong. I've already "discovered" a
dialectal difference - some speakers say "Nd-" where others say "T-" through
a stress change - Nde'ngu becomes Tekai', which leaves both people wondering
who is talking about what - and the genitive case, a suffixed "-n" in a
language which seems to regard closed syllables as a NO-NO, and I think the
future/optative/subjunctive is reduplicated with a suffixed "-t" while the
past and perfect tenses are suffixed with "-b" - the perfect doesn't have the
prefixed "te-", which the past has.
Conlanging creeps up on you, like it or not! If it's part of you, it's part
of you - share and enjoy!
