Brithenig is an application of the sound changes occuring in Welsh applied to a Proto-Romance grammar and lexicon. The language is analogical, similar to other Romance languages, and, due to the loss of final vowels, has grammatical gender in its vocabulary that is not immediately obvious. The grammar is comparable to other Romance languages. The native speakers of Brithenig reputedly live in an alternative timeline in Western Britain, surplanting Welsh. In that context Brithenig participates in a Western post-Industrial global culture. - andrew. -- Andrew Smith, Intheologus hobbit@griffler.co.nz http://hobbit.griffler.co.nz/homepage.html
