_Valdyis ilain_ or _valein ilain_ are the terms used by its own
speakers, but I don't use those because they're unwieldy when I
write about the language.

Valdyan is the language of the kingdom of Valdyas, which has about
ten million inhabitants, all equally imaginary. It's an inflecting
language with SOV word order, in transition from prepositional to
postpositional. It has many dialects; the standard language (_valein
ilain_, "the king's language") is the dialect of the capital, Valdis.
