Little marsupials, similar to flying squirrels, but insectivores and not
rodents. Check out the gallery at http://www.gsgc.org/ for some
pictures. :) They are from Australia and Indonesia.
The wild-caught ones in the US came from Indonesia, as it is illegal to
own or export sugar gliders in Australia. Mine were captive bred here:
one was born in North Carolina, one was born in New Jersey, and 2 came
out of pouch in my very own living room.
Ah... another linguistic topic... Common terms about birth don't fit
very well with the marsupial experience.
