LOL! I have "dragon", "mouse", "cat" (also "tomcat" and "kitten"),
"dog", "horse", "fish", "hedgehog" (from an essay about food; they're
regarded as a delicacy), "butterfly", "bug", "cockroach" (these last
two were the result of a translation exercise that I never finished)
and any number of birds, but no elephants or hamsters either. Perhaps
because very few Valdyans have ever seen an elephant, and the only
hamsters they see are wild ones that are so shy that they can easily
pass for mice :-)
