The reason that I have heard is that they like sweet foods-- fruit, tree
sap, all that good stuff. While it is true that they like sweet things,
I am not sure if that is *really* why they are called sugar gliders.
Actually, my gliders like mealworms more than anything else in the
world... But "worm glider" doesn't sound as nice as "sugar glider".
