Don't underestimate human ingenuity.
When i first came to college, my first roommate would:

talk on the phone to his girlfriend (in english/cantonese codeswitching)
talk on Instant Messenger to his friends
listen to loud music
watch wrestling on tv
do his homework
play computer games
read/study
and *sleep*

all at the same time.
Don't ask me how he threw that last one in there, but that's for sure
what it looked like he was doing!
