Yes - a few things just recently hit me like that.
One would be the personal reference system of Japanese. I'm in Japan at
the moment, and it's driving me crazy that you typically don't use
pronouns to indicate who's doing the action, and the verb doesn't
inflect for person either. It seems like you're missing too much data
that way, and it's rough to work with.
Another would be katakana, one of the Japanese writing systems. Way too
many of the characters are too close in appearance, and not at all
related in sound.
