You're right Yoshiko-san ... I always had fun trying to remember all the
different levels of Japanese speech. I think I always made mistakes using
the wrong politeness levels when I was in Japan. Even better, since I was
living and working near Osaka, I of course tried to use Kansaiben instead of
the standard dialect. So then my Tokyo friends always laughed at me when I
went to visit them ......
How many of you have created dialects like these in your conlangs?
Especially, dialects as different as the Japanese "Hyojungo" or "Kansaiben"
(Tokyo or Osaka Japanese)?
