Re: TECH: HELP!! idiotic keyboard problem

Thanks to all who responded. Yes, I neglected to mention I use Windows (XP).
It's quite likely I accidentally hit alt or control + something else... Yes,
the problem had nothing to do with OO-- but they're awfully easy to blame.
(Last time this happened, OO sent me a 35 page pdf explaining how to enter
special characters; it was written I think by wannabe Wittgensteins or
Byzantine theologians. Grrrr. Simply, people, simplify.)

Speaking of that, today's Washington Post had an article about electronic
filing for a new Govt. grant program; seems all the application forms only
work on Windows, not Macs. But most of the folks who'd be interested
(scientists, mathematicians) prefer to use Macs....go figure.

Anyhow, we're back in control, and all is well.
