As a native speaker, I can say that Kou is totally right. 'libert=E9' is= =20 pronounced /libEr'te/ with both /e/ and /E/ (a good word to make the=20 difference between those two sounds). As for 'lingerie', it's pronounced in French exactly /lE~Z'ri/, where=20 /E~/ is the nasal at the same place of articulation as /E/. the first=20 'e' is mute.
