I am hardly the last word on such things, but here are my two
minor-currency-units.
It seems that most or all of the major languages of Europe will be
understood by at least two listmembers, and indeed several of the less
major ones. However, English is the only language we all have in common. I
personally dont deprecate side conversations in some other language (often
quite fun to try to decypher), but I think that common sense dictates that
anything meant for the group should be in English, otherwise you're
cutting yourself off from your potential audience.
