I don't think I've ever seen "mouth(e)" written in the present tense, only a few times in the past "mouthed", which would be expected with either spelling. :-) I put the -e there by analogy with forms like "breathe" and "bathe", and also to distinguish from "mouth". :-) -- "There's no such thing as 'cool'.
