Sounds similar to Sharpie (permanent magic marker pens).

Yeah, we have Glad Wrap over here, too, and many folks use it generically. But lots of folks also just call it "plastic wrap". Some also use "Reynolds Wrap" for alumin[i]um foil. -Mark
