Then there's the whole aspects deal...
As I said, I liked the Lakoff system which David Peterson presented last
week. I've tried to improve the drawing a bit in accord with David's
directions:

Ready >---> Start >---> Process >-----> Finish >---> Result

Cancel <-----------< < Suspend < ->
From this system, I'd use the following aspects:
[ready]
[starting]
[in process]
[finished]
[suspended]
[iterative] (repeated performance of the verb)
[cancelled]
And I'd add:
[has experienced]
[swift, timeless] ("aorist"?)
[inevitable]
