Origionally Easter and Pesahh were the same holliday (long ago before the Catholic church moved the dates around a bit). After all Pesahh is the day that the events we Christians celebrate on Easter actually occurred. Pentecost is exactly 50 (pente from Greek 5) days after Easter, by definition. Basically, what the the idiom would say if translated into Jewish cultural terms would be "When Pesahh and Shavu`ot fall on the same day." Adam Walker
