Another way one can romanize vowels is to have put an accent over short vowels to
seperate them from long vowels; this is what I do in my language, Aryëzi. In
fact in Aryezi, each sound is represented by a letter, even though this is
sometimes cumbersome (s cellida for sh). Example for my vowels: a/ä/â,
e/ë/ê, i/ï/î, o/ô/ö, u/ü/û, and the like.
