Hmm. I was thinking of it as one syllable /vH{:h/ (where /H/ is to /y/ what /w/
and /j/ are to /u/ and /i/). Is 'Vyääh' one syllable or two?
(Actually I would be pronouncing it as [vH~{:h] because I seem to have trouble
making a non-nasalized [H].)
