Well, someone born on the Moon would probably die if he came to Earth - the gravity would be too intense. It's hard enough for astronauts returning to Earth after spending a few months in space.

It might also be useful as a giant "clock", perhaps they could learn to recognize what parts of Earth the terminator line crosses, and deduce the time from that!
