My dreams usually are not coherent enough to be useful for anything. Plus,
I usually hardly remember anything after I wake up :-) But the
semi-conscious time between lying down and falling asleep is sometimes
quite productive for me -- I've weaved entire storylines during such
times, which includes a large part of the history of the conculture that
my current conlang is set in. And no, when I dreamt the storylines, it was
mostly in English, not in my conlang (yeah, don't I wish!). Perhaps after
I settle on the more fundamental issues in my conlang, I can start
"thinking" in it.
