i assumed you meant 7-bit ascii (characters 0-127), as 8-bit ascii is
becoming quite rare (latin-1 is used instead)
in latin-1:
æ = 230
Æ = 198
= 156
= 140
å = 229
Å = 197

are you using æ' for æ-acute and å' for å-acute (none of those words
contain either)? if so, you may want to use a', e', i', o', and u' for
uniformity.
