Well, phonetically they are: they fit the definition of stops that the oral
airstream must be stopped at some point of articulation. But since for them the
nasal airstream is open, they sound rather continuant and are used that way.
Still, phonetically they are stops :)) .

Well, I always delete posts once replied (unless I want to keep them for one
