Hm, let's see ... I don't find the thread anymore, if there ever was one.

Indeed :-P

I've mailed Benct privately earlier today on a related note, mentioning I'm translating Mark Rosenfelder's "Language Construction Kit" into German at the moment (and I try to be finished with that by the end of the month). There, I simply use 'Kunstsprachler'. Mark also uses 'conlang enthusiasts', which I dutyfully translated as 'Kunstsprachenenthusiast', though I'm still not too happy with that because it's a mouthful written that way and because of -enen-, maybe 'Kunstsprach-Enthusiast' would be better, stylistically? Other than that I'd suggest to keep on using 'Plansprache' for 'engelang' and '(Welt-)Hilfssprache' for 'auxlang', since those are also already established terms as far as I know. 'Kunstsprache' would serve double duty, referring to artificial languages as well as artlangs. By the way, Henrik, I have googled a bit yesterday, and it seems like besides the now-dead Kunstsprachen mailing list at Yahoo there is no actual German-speaking forum devoted to conlanging, like the ZBB¹. Or maybe the folks are hiding at Unilang? I don't know. Or they all speak English well enough already, and my translation of the LCK is really just art for art's sake.
