Not at all! Peanut butter is completely unknown in France for instance.
It's just something you hear about in American series without ever knowing
what it is. And even in the Netherlands it's not that popular. Most
supermarkets sell one brand of peanut butter only, and it's not a thing
people run to get (and some supermarkets don't sell any at all!). Even my
friend, who by Dutch standards likes peanut butter a lot, hardly buys more
than two pots of it per *year*.
Not all people have bad taste you know. ;)))))))
