My bad. Of course, the dialect here distinguishes between
_-a_ and _-er_ (Sofa ["zo:fa] vs. Räder ["RE:d6]). However I
googled the words as I wrote them in the subject line and
they seem to be quite common. Well, maybe they're really
without ethymology because they're only somewhat onomatopoeic
and my question is pointless then.
