I agree, and it's a rule that I try to follow. But it won't eliminate
all repetition - even when the list isn't held, messages do not propogate
instantaneously, and often arrive at different people in different
order. I've often received replies to my own mails before my original
mail made it back to me.

Well, I can see that it's rather marginal, but geographical
nomenclature surely falls under vocabulary generation. It's not
concultural (at least not in my case), as I don't have a conculture.
