Another one-pointer for all you Japophiles who haven't
learnt it yet...
(Verbal) adjectives like _oishii_ drop the final -i
and change it to -kunai for the negative:
oishii ---> oishikunai   delicious ---> not delicious
ii (or _yoi_) ---> yokunai    good ---> not good
mazui ---> mazukunai    disgusting ---> not disgusting
omoshiroi ---> omoshirokunai  fun ---> not fun
aoi ---> aokunai        blue ---> not blue (*as adj!)

Also, as mentioned above, particles are often dropped
in casual speech as is the copula _desu_ (or _da_
informally, etc).  And, in artsy writing like haiku or
sayings, often seemingly-unrelated words are clumped
together -- like "tou-nin jyuu-iro" (lit. "10 people
10 colors") which means "to each, his own".
