I believe Mike is trying to make a joke. A couple of days ago,
he posted a message to this effect:
> Every decision has "pros" and "cons." So If "pro" is the
> opposite of "con," then is "Congress" the opposite of
> "progress"?
>From their responses, some members outside the United
States took this statement as showing Mike's lack of
understanding of various prefixes.
However, this statement is a common joke in the United
States. Everyone here dislikes the federal Congress (for
different reasons), so it makes a good joke for stand-up
comedians. Just like this one:
> Why do we drive our cars on a "parkway," but park our
> cars on a "driveway"?
Perhaps it would help if Mike used emoticons when trying
to be funny.
