Learn, yes. Pyas=FAn is an independent verb meaning "learn, study".=20
Actually, it's probably not a case of a suffix pyas=FAn, but rather
incorporating the object of study into the verb. The only problem with
that analysis is that incorporation is usually only with instrumentals,
and the object of study isn't in the instrumental case.
