Yes, it is odd, but the oddity never occured to me until now!

The same story is true of Lojban, although I suspect most distortions are
introduced by translating into Lojban than out of it.  We none of us know
the language all that well.

OTOH, no private notes are generally provided, as the morphosyntax and
vocabulary are public.
