You're saying that sound would still just be a one-dimensional
thing?  I can't see why not, but you never know with this kind
of thing. :-)  So 4D guys, despite having 3D "eardrums", would
still only have those drums oscillated in one dimension by the
sound?

So then, assuming the 4D guys could build a device capable of
causing a device in the 3D world to vibrate, they would be able
to play us 4D sounds.  What the **** would they sound like?
