Well, yes. When I write Latin (and I do sometimes) it turns out
medievalish; a little less artificial, I think. We tried to teach
ourselves Latin as a spoken language, but then we had kids and
nothing came of it except the odd catch-phrase in dog Latin, like
"problema est", "quid vult felis?" and "filia mea" (which our eldest
daughter at about two years old immediately picked up, referring to
herself as "fiamea").
