Well, from what I've heard from all of you Tolkien experts (or at least
more so thatn me), the fact that he spoke Quenya to open the door, that he
would say something in Quenya... I think he said the word for friend... I
have no idea what language that was, but from what I remember the same
word that opens the door in the book is the same one that opens it in the
movie... and that word wasn't unclear in the movie...
