Unless Sydney accents are _really_ weird, you'll find it's more like
["bQndai] (ditto all the [O]'s being [Q])

can't really hear the difference between that and [O]. I'll just
check the Macquarie dictionary, which uses IPA...
It has [Q] for the word "pot" and [O] for the word "port".
I'm not really sure at all, actually... Can anyone else hear the
difference?
