I am also new. What is Shoebox? And this is to Beorn: How do you use
Excel for conlanging? I downloaded LangMaker (which generates vocabulary
based on a scheme you give it and can transform it according to rules
you give) and it's a wonderful idea for a program, but buggy as heck. :/
It sometimes crashes when I try to "transform" words and the
transformations often come out in peculiar (and outright wrong) ways.
This hardly makes me want to register it :D
Throughout most of my conlanging history, I have just stored stuff in my
head (except for the scrawled notes I throw away). You may find this
amazing, but the fact is that I have never come up with much vocabulary
or anything. :/ Right now I have a few web pages where I keep notes
(pretty much for myself) on my new language, using Netscape Composer.

Interesting... I used to know a guy named Steve whose nicknames were
"Steggy" and "Stegosaurus", after his last name (which was not Belsky)
:)
