I take it you mean Marcus Smith. He dropped off the list
in September due to the high traffic, since he needed the
time to work on his thesis and do some TA-ing.
He tells me he'll hopefully be back after his thesis is
finished, which will be by the end of December.
Regarding the Elvish, he was interviewed for some magazine
about Elvish and conlanging (the same article called Matt
Pearson "Mark" iirc). I don't think he's involved in the
movie.

You're right, he isn't involved with the movie, he just knows a lot about Elvish. He
and I were interviewed for an article in an LA-based paper called "New
Times"--one of those free weeklies. And yes, the interviewer or the editor
dubbed me "Mark" by mistake. (They printed a correction about 6 weeks later.)
