Well, that's my personal view. I read a paper once stating that the
distinction between subject and object in trigger languages is completely
irrelevant. A view that I agree with completely. One can of course take
this further and state that the distinction between transitive and
intransitive verbs is irrelevant in trigger languages. Now if such a
distinction is irrelevant, how can I say whether trigger languages have
or do not have transitive verbs? Hmmm... I'm not sure how to answer that
one.
