In high school, I also read physics for fun(and linguistics, history,
philosophy, textbooks, mathematics, dictionaries, etc.)(still do).
I have on several occasions calculated the distances between all the stars
within 15 lightyears, and worked out the orbit of earthlike planets around
alpha Centauri, all for fun. So I can't quite call myself average either.
