Well ... I wasn't expecting to get a one-to-one mapping between words
and characters --- at least not at first. The idea would be to
communicate meaning in a relatively simple way, and to make encourage
people to think of the spoken language as the primary source and the
written language as a secondary tool, and to provide a bridge between
English and Chinese.
